The state government encourages non – labour intensive and hi-tech industries, with attractive investment incentives from the federal government. Melaka has designated industrial park for automotives, composites, halal food, electronics and resources – based industries, making it the choices for investors, to make Melaka their profit Centre. There are severall well developed industrial sites such as Ayer Keroh , Alor Gajah, Batu Berendam , Free Trade Zone , Bukit Rambai, Masjid Tanah, Merlimau , Tangga batu, Tanjung Kling Free Trade Zone and Serkam. Many international companies have their plants in these sites which have well developed infrastructure and manpower support.
