Dubai Firm Shows Interest To Invest US$500 Mln In Melaka |

MELAKA, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- A company from Dubai, Golden Crescent Group, has expressed interest to invest US$500 million (about RM1.720 billion) in Melaka, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said on Monday.
"They showed interest to invest in the state after seeing the development in Melaka," he told reporters after opening the 34th general representative meeting of 4B Youth Movement in Ayer Keroh.

MELAKA, Dec 2 (Bernama) -- Melaka hope to achieve state with high income status within the next decade, by using advancement in information technology and biotechnology, said Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam.
He urged the people of Melaka to increase productivity, be creative and focus on the economy, based on knowledge.
"For Melaka to advance and reach the high income status, we must venture deeply into information technology, biotechnology, halal industry and high end tourism," he told reporters at a ceremony that was held to commemorate his one decade leadership as Melaka Chief Minister.

LANGKAWI, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- By next year, Malaysia will become the first country in this region to produce its own Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) code-named "Yabhon Aludra".
Unmanned Systems Technology (UST) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Composite Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM), will start producing the strategic-level UAV at its plant in Melaka.

MELAKA, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The Batu Berendam Airport(LTBB) here, is expected to begin operations for international flights in mid-January next year, said Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam. He said that the LTBB would be known as the Melaka International Airport after the inauguration by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak on January 15.
